PRIVATE RESIDENCE, NEW YORK CITY

A project that involved combining a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom apartment in United Nations Plaza, the landmark modernist co-operative apartment complex on Manhattan’s Upper East Side designed by Harrison & Abramovitz in 1966. This was a complete renovation ranging from architectural redesign of the floor plan to create a new 1000 square foot living and dining space to specifications of fixtures and furnishings for all rooms. The furniture included designs by mid-century modernists as Edward Wormley, Paul Frankl and Florence Knoll combined with contemporary pieces and the client’s collection of modern art work.
